With the election campaign running around every corner of the country, Philippines, everyone seems cleansing their hands and pointing hands to someone else just to clear up their names and make it pleasing to the voters. As a commuter and at the same time, tax-payer, I couldn’t help to get disappointed on how our politics can go further just for the game of power and money. Sigh. That’s the only thing I can do for now as many fellow Filipinos should also be educated on what’s really going on.

With that said, given a chance that I would ask Mar Roxas the question would probably be “Where’s the “matuwid na daan?” I can’t see it nor feel it. Having an ongoing issue with regards to MRT, former MRT3 General Manager Al Vitangcol III tagged Liberal Party presidential bet Manuel Roxas II in the allegedly anomalous $12-million maintenance service contract deal for the mass transit system. Last February 18, Vitangcol filed an affidavit before the Supreme Court (SC) to support his motion for reconsideration, challenging the Ombudsman;s decision to file graft chargers against him over the awarding of an MRt3 short-term maintenance contract without public bidding in 2012.

Yeah, having that said, as a Filipino, I, myself can already feel that there’s something that our government is doing. It is another graft and corruption on the process, perhaps? Still, if you, Mar Roxas, is not guilty of something, I hope you’ll be man enough to face all the accusations being thrown to you without blaming GMA’s previous administration. Be man enough to face the consequences of your actions. I guess, it might sounds awkward or hard enough to admit that Gloria might be a corrupt ex-President of the Philippines but I would humbly says that “at least she did something good for the country for the benefit of the many.” To cite one example of the few I have in mind, the extended operation of MRT3 to accommodate the needs of those who were working in odd hours, as one of those who graciously and happily benefited on such I would like to say that it might be a matuwid na daan that you’re opted to choose on your campaign, but at least, a daan for the many Filipinos to feel convenience during odd hours.
